Letters From Clients

John

I just want to thank you again for working so hard on my case. I believe in God’s grace and have seen it in you and in countless others since my life turned around. I know God has His plan for all of us, I just can’t see what He has in store for me right now. I will rise again because of Him.

Thank you for everything.

18.2-154 Unlawful shoot/throw at Train/Car (Class 4 Felony)

June, 2016

Mr. Holloran,

My name is G and you represented me in 2013 for a DUI case in Augusta County. I wanted to email you a little on what’s been going on with me; and to thank you, because without you I doubt any of this would have happened.

I recently graduated from Virginia Tech this May with a degree in Economics which thankfully only took 4 years. I’ve also had a construction engineering job lined up since March of this year in Northern Virginia.

I truly believe that what happened on April 7, 2013 changed me for life and made me a better person. I am not too sure where I would be today if that night never occurred but I know that I was heading down a road that would be hard to come back from. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to have a second chance and for you taking the time to give me the best opportunity leaving that courtroom.

I sincerely hope everything is going well with you and your firm and I wish you the best of luck in the future on any endeavors you may take on.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

G

We very much appreciate all of your hard work and good counsel on this matter. We consider this a big victory under the circumstances. I believe the next step is to go forward with the expungement on the original case.

Thanks,

18.2-61- Rape (Felony)

August, 2018

Dear Attorney Holloran,

I hope I didn’t offend you by personalizing “My Wonderful” attorney. I was so pleased with the news and wanted to relay how grateful I was to you. I just received the latest email from you with the official expungement. Thank you so much. God bless you for the refund you got for us and I know it could have been zero so I am happy to have gotten something. I sincerely hope Jonathon has learned his lesson and I will always remember you as helping to give him a second chance by getting this charge expunged. I will always remember you in my prayers and I pray that God blesses you and your family. This is all I can offer in thanks for you helping us. I believe that God places angels in our lives when we need them. We needed you and I am so grateful that you took our case and helped Jonathon.

Respectfully,

A

May, 2016

John,

We are grateful and relieved.

Your creativity, patience, responsiveness and brilliance in this case, along with your advising G and dealing with very nervous parents was all unparalleled.

I am sure our paths will cross in the next 2-plus-years and we can shake hands.

What a process. What a journey. We are a team and what better way to plot our pathway than to follow your lead.

Mr. Holloran,

Words can never express the gratitude and admiration we feel for you. We know this was your job but we also felt you believed in our innocence and for that we are truly grateful to you. You are our hero and someone we truly admire. We are so thankful the Lord picked you to represent us. We will always remember your kindness and caring.

August, 2017

Mr. Holloran,

I just wanted to get back to you and let you know how much I appreciate everything that you did for C.  We couldn’t have asked for anything more than what you did for him – both from a legal perspective and also just being a great person for him to work with.  C and I (and our family) have great respect for you and everything you were able to accomplish.

I certainly hope that C has learned from this experience and that he won’t ever need legal assistance in the future, however we would certainly recommend you to anyone who might.

C has successfully transferred to another University which I think is a good move for him.  Classes start on Monday. With a fresh start, better decision-making, and a new set of friends, I am hoping this will set him on a better path for his future.

My sincerest thanks,

R

Investigation

John,

I am grateful that you have been a part of my life. You are the best counsel I could have asked for. You counseled me in more ways than one.

I’ve learned through this experience that I do not always know what is best for me. Our fellowship encouraged me to place my faith into the Lord’s hands. Your ministry has inspired me to have a ministry of my own.

You did everything I asked of you; you brought out the truth of who I am. I no longer have to hide in darkness. Please keep me in your prayers. I will keep you in mine. Many people know you as John Holloran, Esq. Few know you as John Holloran, the Superstar. I will always know you as John Holloran, Direct Descendent of Moses!

"Honor all people. Love the Brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King." 1 Peter 2:17- This verse is an accurate description of who you are.

Love, Your Friend in Christ,

R

Mr. Holloran:

I trust all is well. This might be one of the first and few emails that I send where I’m NOT in any sort of trouble!

Thank you for all your help in all of my many legal matters. I can honestly say that you, for lack of a better way of saying it, saved my life.

Regards,

R

I have the upmost respect for John and have referred to him several clients with serious criminal charges. He is regarded by many, including me, to be one of the best (if not the best) criminal defense attorneys in the region.

Peer Review (Rated 5/5)

May, 2016

Mr. Holloran,

We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of both cases and want to sincerely thank you for the work you have done. You came at the recommendation of Stephen M. Sayers, who has done a phenomenal job for us in the past and his recommendation proved to be the best of the best. Your diligence and communication gave us peace of mind as we went through this long process, and your work has confirmed that we picked the best man for the job.

Thank You,

M.

P.S. I look forward to thanking you in person.

18.2-374.3 Computer use to commit certain sex offense w/ minor (Class 6 Felony)

March, 2013

Dear John,

You certainly slayed this dragon and I thank you for doing it on L’s behalf. A requisite to any good result is thoroughness and willingness to take it through trial – and this was abundantly evident from the start of your representation of L.

Thank you for a very fine job.

18.2-266 DWI: 1st (Class 1 Misdemeanor)

18.2-268.3 Refused Blood/Breath Test

August, 2017

John,

Let me begin by saying what a journey! Words will NEVER express the gratitude and appreciation we have for you and your team! This was, hands down, the most stressful and trying time in our lives. When the whole process started, we had no idea what to do and phone call after phone call seemed to be a dead end for Kyle. We were extremely scared – no, more like petrified that Kyle’s future was finished. Then God led us to you. We knew we had made the right choice when you told us that you would defend him as if he were your own. And defend him you did! You did exactly what you said you would – defend him as your own! Steadfast and controlled the entire time. The tenacity, professionalism and overall courtroom presence you displayed are second to none and I firmly believe that led to the outcome we prayed for!

Because of you, Kyle was able to start college this past week and continue his wrestling career. I truly believe we have you to thank for that! Thank you again and, as always, God is good! Please let us know if there is ever anything we can do for you.

Sincerely and gratefully,

T and B

18.2-308.1 Possession of Firearm, Stun Weapon, or Other Weapon on School Property Prohibited (Class 6 Felony)

Dear John,

Thank you for all that you have done for me this past year. I believe God has His plan and you played an important part in that plan with me. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. Have a Merry Christmas.

Blessings,

C

John,

I wanted to thank you again for coming up with, and orchestrating, a masterful plan. A true testament that God answers prayers all the way up to the last minute. He used you in that courtroom yesterday and for that I’m so grateful. You executed that plan masterfully. I pray that God continues to use you in the lives of these young people who make 1st time simple mistakes which could have a lifelong impact. Yesterday’s experience is one for the record books. Brilliant! Again, thank you for believing in my son and standing up for his constitutional rights. As you know, so many other black males are unjustly profiled in this society. This case was just an example. His future is now brighter because of you. Keep fighting the good fight. Kudos to you!

18.2-250.1 Possession of Marijuana

March, 2019

Dear Mr. Holloran:

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to send this to you but somehow life gets in the way and we don’t always follow through in a timely manner. I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for all you did for TJ For a charge to go from a felony to a misdemeanor with unsupervised probation is probably almost unheard of. The charges that were brought against TJ were scary. If found guilty he could have been given 5 years to life for a crime that he didn’t commit.

Thank you for believing in him and fighting so hard to help get the charges reduced. Your expertise in the courtroom is phenomenal. Your knowledge of the law is exceptional; in fact so awesome that even the deputies that talked to TJ wanted your information in case they ever needed a criminal defense attorney.

Prior to this happening, I never had any encounters with the legal system and had it not been for God’s leading me to you through a friend, I don’t think we would have had the same outcome. I believe in you and your tenacity to work hard for your clients. You are dynamite in the courtroom and your knowledge of the process and system no one can compare.

I admire you for your skill and that you believe in a wonderful God who was walking beside you the whole time.

May God bless you and your family and thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,

Carol J.

18.2-268.3 Refused blood/breath test

January, 2009

Dear John,

We are so very thankful for all your hard work and help with E‘s case. We know you tried your best to get the best outcome for E. The most important reason we want to thank you is not as a lawyer but as a person. You always treated E with respect and as a human being, not as an illness or a disturbed individual. For that we are truly grateful. He is still working very hard, day by day, to get better. Thanks to you he has that chance.

God bless you,

B and P

Dear Mr. Holloran,

I can’t thank you enough for everything you did for me. When that whole situation came about, I felt completely lost and hopeless. That all changed when I met you. I really expected a very ugly outcome for myself and for my family to deal with, but with you having my back through all of this, that was not the case. I’m still surprised at how well things turned out. I must say that I am truly blessed.

Thanks again,

R

Criminal Investigation and Civil forfeiture

October, 2012

John,

If I thanked you and the Lord a million times a million it would not be enough to express what I am feeling right now.

I truly am a free woman today. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I have learned from this in so many spiritual levels. I will never take my freedom for granted again.

John, thank you. I will be forever grateful for all you did on my behalf. May God richly bless you and your family.

Sincerely

I felt there was a considerate amount of attentiveness for my cases and I appreciate that as well. Thank you also for your professionalism.
