Upon graduation from George Mason Law School, I worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fairfax County where I tried a large number of Misdemeanor, Felony and Jury cases.
After obtaining significant trial experience over the course of two and a half years, I was hired by Miles & Stockbridge as an associate in Civil/Commercial Litigation for two years.
Upon relocating to Harrisonburg, I was a solo practitioner for approximately one year before becoming a partner in the firm of Moyer & Holloran, PC. After seven years, I returned to practice as a solo practitioner specializing in Personal Injury, Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation.
When I moved down to the Shenandoah Valley in 1991 and opened my law practice, I had a very simple approach. I believed that if I handled my client’s case in the manner in which I would want mine to be handled, then that client would be extremely pleased with my representation.
And if I performed in an excellent manner for that client, then he or she would tell another, who would tell another, until clients would seek out a way to find me. It’s a simple philosophy and it’s one that I stick to, believe in, and expect to perform to.
If you contact present or former clients, I believe you will find that I live up to my reputation and try my best to represent the interests of my client and reach the objectives that we mutually believe we can achieve.
I have the upmost respect for John and have referred to him several clients with serious criminal charges. He is regarded by many, including me, to be one of the best (if not the best) criminal defense attorneys in the region.
